Position Summary

As an Associate XR Designer at realworld one, you will play an important role in building a new category around one of the largest unmet opportunities in industrial enterprises: execution performance.

While organizations invest billions in systems that manage quality, operations, service, and business performance, no system today is designed to measure, improve, and manage execution itself. We believe execution performance will become a critical enterprise layer, enabling organizations to systematically improve operational performance and business outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Design and working closely with clients and cross-functional teams across Client Strategy & Value Creation, Solution Delivery, and Engineering, you will contribute to the design of XR training experiences from discovery and concept framing through production support, translating complex operational workflows into intuitive immersive experiences that deliver measurable value for leading Life Sciences organizations.

Working alongside experienced Senior XR Designers, you will continuously develop your design capabilities, take increasing ownership of projects and design decisions, and contribute to shaping the future of execution performance.


Responsibilities

  • Design engaging end-to-end user experiences for XR-based training experiences, from concept to implementation, with guidance from experienced designers.
  • Support discovery workshops with clients and subject matter experts to define and document learning objectives while progressively developing the skills to facilitate them independently.
  • Apply instructional design principles to turn learning objectives into effective, immersive XR experiences.
  • Translate complex technical and operational workflows into clear, intuitive spatial interactions.
  • Collaborate with teams across Client Strategy, Solution Delivery, and Engineering to ensure solutions are user-centered and deliver real value.
  • Create sketches, user flows, high-fidelity wireframes, and prototypes to communicate and validate design intent.
  • Participate in usability testing and apply findings to improve user satisfaction and overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to our design system, XR best practices, and spatial interaction patterns.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate from a leading design university, or a designer with 1–2 years of professional experience in UX or interaction design, ideally with first experience in XR or spatial computing.
  • Strong design fundamentals, with a solid understanding of user-centered design, usability, accessibility, and interaction design principles.
  • Portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking, interaction design skills, and a structured design approach, ideally including immersive or 3D experience design for head-mounted displays.
  • Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and a structured approach to tackling complex design challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams and customer-facing environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with modern design tools. Experience with game engines (UE5 preferred), real-time development workflows, and 3D tools (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max, Maya) is a strong plus.
