Position Summary

As Vice President of Engineering at realworld one, you will play a central role in building a new category around one of the largest unmet opportunities in industrial enterprises: execution performance.
 
While organizations invest billions in systems that manage quality, operations, service, and business performance, no system today is designed to measure, improve, and manage execution itself. We believe execution performance will become a critical enterprise layer, enabling organizations to systematically improve operational performance and business outcomes.
 
realworld one is building the platform required to make this vision a reality. As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will help lead the company’s evolution from a leading XR solution provider into a category-defining platform company, while building the engineering organization and technology foundation required to achieve that vision.
 
Working at the intersection of immersive technologies, enterprise software, data, and AI, you will define the architecture, platforms, and engineering capabilities required to help organizations understand how work is executed, identify performance gaps, and continuously improve outcomes at scale. In doing so, you will help establish execution performance as a measurable and manageable enterprise capability.
 
This role is designed for an ambitious engineering leader who combines technical excellence, strategic thinking, and execution rigor to shape a category-defining company.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's engineering and technology strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives.
• Lead and scale multidisciplinary engineering teams across platform engineering, online services, cloud infrastructure, XR and real-time 3D technologies, data platforms, and AI capabilities.
• Define the architecture and technology roadmap for the execution performance platform, ensuring long-term scalability, reliability, and innovation.
• Build the data, AI, and platform capabilities required to make execution measurable, actionable, and continuously improvable.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Commercial, and Operations leaders to translate company strategy into scalable products and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and scaling engineering organizations in complex, high-growth software environments.
• Strong technical foundation across modern software platforms, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Track record of building high-performing engineering teams and scalable technology organizations.
• Strong systems thinking, architectural judgment, and the ability to translate long-term vision into execution.
• Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and a hands-on leadership style.
• Experience with XR technologies, Unreal Engine, real-time 3D applications, or adjacent technology environments is highly desirable.
