You will focus on two main streams of work: a) support, monitor and review the progress of the EIT Health project portfolio within the Initiative (approx. 5-6 projects); b) lead the delivery of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion task (DEI) aiming at building capacities of consortia from the entire Initiative to embed DEI in their innovation activities.
You will work within the EIT Health Cross-KIC and NEFA projects unit, and report to the Head of unit. You will interact with other units in the Programmes & Delivery department, namely Entrepreneurship & Venture Support, Investments & Profit Growth and especially Talent development. The position also requires alignment with the Operations and Grant Assurance teams. You will interact regularly with the other KICs representatives participating in the initiative.
Regular travel in Europe is foreseen.
Project portfolio
- Stay in regular contact with project coordinators to ensure smooth implementation. Provide guidance on initiative requirements and support them throughout the project lifecycle, from onboarding and reporting to closure.
- Monitor project progress and performance against the planned timelines, budget, deliverables and key performance indicators. Liaise with the relevant Operations and Grant Assurance teams at EIT Health to ensure proper set up of proposals and correct reporting of project progress in the grant management system.
- Support consortia in the identification of good practices and success stories and promote their dissemination via events, newsletter articles and other visibility opportunities provided by the Initiative and EIT Health communication team.
- Share project insights and learnings within the XKIC and NEFAs implementation unit, to help identify the added value of participating in the initiative. Support establishing synergies with other units from the Programmes & Delivery department.
- Procure external expertise to carry out a gap analysis to assess the current state of DEI in HEIs and academic institutions participating in the initiative. Ensure compliance with EIT Health procurement and financial management rules. Monitor the correct execution of the contract and ensure that findings of the needs assessment are captured in a white paper/publication and that they inform the design of activities in this DEI task.
- Set up and oversee the launch and implementation of a call for proposal for the development of a specialised training programme on DEI - the primary target group of this training will be staff members of the universities participating in the initiative. Monitor the correct execution of the contract.
- In close cooperation with the Initiative coordination team and the EIT Health Talent Development unit, explore opportunities for the DEI course to be labelled through a KIC’s EIT Label accreditation system, be hosted on an Learning Management System and promoted via the EIT Campus for broader outreach.
