About the Role

As HR Business Partner, you will shape and execute the people strategy across the assigned regional scope, currently covering Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Austria. Acting as the senior HR advisor to Executive Management and business leaders, you will translate business priorities into effective organizational, workforce, and people solutions.

This is a highly visible role with substantial ownership and decision-making responsibility. You will drive strategic HR initiatives, lead compensation and workforce planning, advise on complex organizational and employment matters, and ensure that HR governance and operations support sustainable business growth.

Alongside your strategic remit, you will retain oversight of core HR operations, ensuring that payroll, personnel administration, HR systems, and employee lifecycle processes are accurate, compliant, and continuously improved.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with Executive Management to define and execute the people strategy in line with business priorities and long-term growth objectives.
  • Act as the primary strategic HR advisor to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership, talent, performance, employee relations, and business transformation.
  • Lead compensation and benefits strategy, including salary benchmarking, remuneration structures, annual salary review cycles, bonus and incentive schemes, personnel budgeting, and personnel cost forecasting.
  • Drive organizational development, succession planning, leadership capability, talent management, and high-performance culture initiatives.
  • Lead complex restructuring, change, integration, and employment law matters in collaboration with Executive Management and external legal counsel.
  • Lead HR workstreams for acquisitions and post-merger integration within the assigned regional scope, including the harmonization of structures, policies, processes, and employee practices.
  • Develop and implement HR governance, policies, and standardized people processes across Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Austria while respecting local legal requirements.
  • Own strategic headcount planning, workforce analytics, HR reporting, and executive dashboards to enable fact-based management decisions.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Provide governance and oversight for payroll, HR administration, personnel data, working time, absences, benefits, HR systems, and compliance-related HR processes.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for HR digitalization, automation, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, employees, external legal advisors, payroll providers, authorities, and other strategic service partners.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a comparable qualification, or a certified HR Management Specialist (Personalkaufmann/-frau).
  • Extensive professional experience in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or HR leadership role within an international and operationally complex environment.
  • Proven track record of advising Executive Management and influencing strategic business and organizational decisions.
  • Strong expertise in compensation and benefits, personnel budgeting, workforce planning, HR controlling, and organizational design.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation, restructuring, change management, and ideally acquisitions or post-merger integration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of German employment law; experience with the Netherlands, Poland, and/or Austria is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to translate business strategy and data into practical people solutions.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, resilience, and personal ownership.
  • Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned regional scope as required.
